On September 27, 2022 @ 11:06am (PST), I called the number provided on the piece of mail 1-(844)-411-9643 seeking guidance on what consolidation is and how I can consolidate my student loans. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Allen Hernandez, who was very eager to help and asked that I copy and paste information from studentloans.gov through my provided email which happen to be gmail. As he spoke he seemed very knowledgeable about the studentloan.gov website as well as provided accurate information about my situation with student loans down to the amount owed. I hesitated at first when he asked for a my SSN and license number, I told him I don't feel comfortable repeating that information over phone, where he assured me that this is where the meeting will end and my consolidation application will not be approved etc. I told him that I wouldn't be able to pay anything that day, he mentioned revised payments in two different amounts ranging from $80-$200. I wanted my application to be approved so that I can accomplish something on my student loans so I went forward and provided him with my SSN/ License information. After he asked for my banking information, I suddenly knew that was information that shouldn't be shared. I told him I do not have that Information right now and he then asked me to retrieve the information and call him later that day. Instead I scheduled a called with him for Thursday, September 29 @ 9AM, however, I will not be providing my bank information but unfortunately I've shared more than enough information that could potentially jeopardize my identity.
