Type of a scam Employment

I received a text from someone saying their name was Courtney Barrows from Preprogen LLC saying they are impressed with my resume and offering me a fully remote Data Entry Clerk job for $30/hour, and asking me to text back. I texted back and received another text from the same number telling me to download Microsoft Teams and search for the "Hiring Manager" Marie Reed and to message her with an interview code of "P-03." I did not proceed further because I saw these reviews and confirmed my suspicion that it is a scam.

I received a text message from someone named Kaitlin williams claiming to be recruitment staff for all healthcare staffing llc looking for applicants for a data entry clerk position on 9/3. When I responded to the text I received an automated response telling me to reach out to breanna wilson via microsoft teams using the email [email protected]. I did so and took part in a text-based interview (I did not give ssn, drivers license number or bank account info. I did give my first name, email address, the name of my bank, and the names and phone numbers of my references. It seemed like normal interview questions.) They told me I'd done well answering the questions and that we would meet again at 8am 9/4 and that I should expect an email with an official offer letter. I did receive the email at 8:01 9/4. I read the email, but did not open the pdf attachment because the whole process was raising red flags. I requested that we reschedule our meeting for later in the week and they responded that we could meet at 8am 9/5. I tried to find any info online about this company being tied to a phishing or malware scam, but I couldn't find anything except that the company itself seems legitimate and has been in operation since 2017 and been paying since then to maintain its llc. I sent a message at around 7pm 9/4 asking them to give me til the end of the week to verify that the job offer is legitimate and as of 9am 9/5 I have no response. We called the number listed on the company website and asked them if the job offer was a scam and the person on the other end said it for sure was, and sounded like they've been getting a lot of calls to that effect and asked us to report it. I will upload a screen recording scrolling the initial text I got, my conversation with breanna and the email.

I got a text saying my resume was impressive and to use Microsoft teams to reach out to [email protected] about a remote data entry job with paid training and benefits offering $35/hour after 2 weeks training $20/hour. I did a text-based interview with "breanna" that seemed fairly normal. No secure info was asked for. They said I would get an email with next steps. I got an email from [email protected] which read like they were offering me the data entry job and there was a .pdf attachment that I did not hazard opening.
