Type of a scam Moving
The rental truck showed up at 3 pm.(scheduled for 8:30 am) with no weight documentation. Earlier I was told weight documentation will be provided before loading.
I checked this company's reviews online, by google and yelp. Since Aug to Dec 2018,there were 8 victims that had a similar experience with Allied Moving Group. I'm sure there are more victims of Allied Moving Group out there.
These are the experiences that me and other customers have been subject to:
1.Target cross country and interstate moving since moving costs are usually several thousand dollars
2.Lured the consumers to pay one third of estimation fee as deposits by telling you a truck is near your area on your moving day that you need to secure the good deal.
2. Gave estimation rate by weight but change rate on moving day. If you don't like the rate, you lose your deposit.
3. Truck didn't show up until afternoon, not much time left as a moving day. And you're exhausted, because you've been making unanswered calls to allied moving group the whole morning. In your vulnerable position, you either being charged out of your control or if you refuse to load, you loose your deposit.
Moving is not a experience one has a lot in life. Allied moving group took advantage of people's lack of moving experience, and meticulously plotted many similar moving scams to innocent peoples.
