I was initially contacted via the email attesting to the fact that someone I knew invited me to join this networking site. I accepted and filled out a cursory business account. This was free. I was immediately contacted via email to link with others in my area, some of which I knew. I accepted contact with a few, and even wrote a few recommendations. Later, while perusing some of the sites info, I saw others that I had existing relationships with. I wrote some recommendations as I saw fit. I then attempted to link with them but it was stated they were out of my business radius and I would need to become a "premium " member. This is where the cost comes in. I questioned this in their public forum but my question "disappeared" immediately. Every time I received an email from them, they would state that they could increase my exposure if I gave the access to all of my email contacts. I never did make that available. After I became suspicious, I contacted the person who invited me. She stated that she created an account a long time ago, but never pursued it and never attempted to contact me. I then contacted my most recent contact, who claimed ignorance of the site altogether, Yet, there is an account with his business and Full name attached to it. I believe this business is doing nothing more than data mining and offers little in the way of value to it's clientele. It definitely is involved in deceptive practices to increase it's revenue.
