I am contacting the Bureau of Better Business to report what I believe to be unethically leading behaviour towards unknowing consumers. This statement of events is aimed at the company NO2 Power Blast or Alpha Force Testo Companies (umbrella companies). I saw an advertisement on Facebook for a product called Alpha Force Testo with the ad claiming that the celebrity "Dwayne Johnson" uses this product for an all natural health advantage. I was intrigued to notice they were offering a free trail. I clicked on an ad that was offering a "30-Day" trail all you had to do was pay the shipping and handling. I felt this was a reasonable request to make. It would allow the consumer to try a company's product and decide after a trail whether or not to purchase more. I went through all the necessary prompts provided by the website to fill in my VISA Debit information to complete the shipment of the order. I did not receive an option to click or declare I agreed to the Terms and Agreements of said companies' when following the websites instructions. I placed this order on 2018.03.03 and obtained the merchandise by postal shortly afterwards and was pleased to try my free trial. It wasn't until 2018.03.26 that I knew something incredibly wrong had taken place with my earlier transaction with this company. I was billed $86.51 USD which amounted out to be $114.84 CAD for a product that I believed was a free. After investigation I found the website offers information to the consumer about the Terms of the Agreement. The issue with this clearly stated agreement is; the consumer is not made aware of this before, during or after the point of sale. This product was offered through an ambiguous ad on Facebook which I believe has been removed since this instance. I was forced to realize they left me "the consumer" to ensure I knew they were not offering a 30 day trail but rather an 18 day trail period with 30 days worth of pills and would also sign up for an auto-enrollment subscription every month. Noticing they charged me. I called the company to inquire why I was billed because, I payed for the shipping for a product I believed to be a free 30 day trail and would risk free. The agent essentially told me to cancel my accounts so I wouldn't billed further... so I did as they advised. I heard they agent mention $86.51 USD to be returned to you but, the agent supposedly said I would not be billed for the Alpha Force Testo product they sent complimentary with the NO2 Power Blast. The agent supposedly made myself agree to keep the product and be billed $114.84 CAD and cancelled the Alpha Force Testo just in time so they did not charge me $114.84 CAD again for that mentioned product. The company would have billed me this same rate every month going forward until I would have noticed the infraction and would have lost even more money to this unethical business practice. I spoke with a supervisor about this issue asking for a refund and would ship their product back to them and would appreciate my refund as I did not intend for this transaction to transpire. The supervisor told me he was unable to process my return because my accounts were cancelled which I agreed too unknowingly with the previous agent. I assured the agent I must have misunderstood the previous agent because I was under the impression the accounts were cancelled and I would get my money back. The agent told me that if I was confused in any way I should have addressed it the day previous with that agent and they could do nothing for me as my account was now closed. I called back a 4th time and demanded a contact number for their legal department in case a civil claim needed to be filed. It was at this time I was met with my refund via email (hopefully I will receive it back). I after it was all said and done walked away from this company unscathed. But, unlike many others I see on social media have been affected by this company and have lost upwards off $500 or more. It's this unjust and unethical phishing and social media probing that inspired myself to report simply put... a corrosive and disgusting display and execution of unethical principles and policies for this company to use advantageously to succeed. I know to my core this goes against everything the ScamPulse.com stands for. That was the main reason I brought this (again what I believe to be an unethical corporation) to light. Thank you for any consideration of this matter and I do hope my input will help other Canadians not be swindled looking to the future.
