Hello,
Alpha heater is a scam. I spent several hours researching for the most energy efficient space heaters. They spent millions of dollars to promote this scam - their multiple claims are fictitious/ very deceptive. They should have spent all of that money on making a heater that actually works.
Alpha heaters website is rigged - once you put in your billing information they bombard you with solicitations to purchase other unwanted items.
If you click on one of them by mistake, they do not provide you with any option to delete the purchase. I spent several minutes trying to undue an unwanted purchase.
Finally I had to "x" out of their website and logged into my debit card account only to find they already removed money for the unwanted purchase.
They also use one of those timers telling you that there are only 3 hrs left to get their "special bargain price" / "Hurry limited time offer".. More deception - a week later they have the same offer/ timer.
Once the heaters arrived I could not believe how small and cheaply made they were. The first time I plugged one of them into an outlet the prongs snapped off.
They do not work anywhere near as advertised and they leave my house smelling like burnt plastic.
Their website claims that they provide a 30 day money back guarantee.
I contemplated calling the company and asking for a refund - but after researching hundreds of reviews from unsatisfied customers that stated attempts to get their their money back from this company was a waste of time and the only recourse would be to contact your bank/ dispute purchase. ..
See supporting information below:
The link below states:

Many report the sellers instantly deny refunds after taking payment and then disappear without providing any way to contact them about the under performing units shipped.
What should you do if you purchased a Alpha Heater?
If you realize it's a scam. immediately dispute the charges with your credit card company as fraudulent and request a chargeback refund. File complaints with consumer agencies.

The second link (below) provides reviews of unsatisfied customers stating that they were unsuccessful in getting their money refunded and other unsatisfied customers stating that they were charged additional S&H and a 15% restocking fee.
I refuse to pay anything for these pieces of junk (they can send me a shipping label and I will be happy to send them back).
I will settle for nothing less then a full refund. See supporting reviews:
"Made a loud pop and stopped working after just 2 hours. Then it started too smoke and the plastic on two spots on the outside melted. My house now reeks if toxic bum plastic. This product is dangerous!"
"I bought 3 alpha heaters after seen the adve1t on line. When they arrived (after >3 weeks). I opened one and tested it and found it very noisy and does not heat as claimed. Contacted the supplier to confim1 address no reply. Sent it back and send an e-mail no reply and delivery failed!!! No one knows where the parcel is in NJ (lost!!!). This is a scam avoid it at all costs"
"I was very disappointed, this heater hardly put out any heat at all, you have to get right up·on it to feel the heat! l decided to return it and had to pay $8.20 plus 15% restocking fee so now I am out $24.24 just for having tried the product! Beware, it's not what it claims!"
"No! Stop! Keep your money! Does not heat up a room in 5 mins or an hour! You are not getting your money back because no one is ever going to contact you. Definitely not a good buy. I tried twice to get my money back. Both times I got an email saying I would get an email from someone with instructions that never came".
"Awful. Wish I could give em a 0. Doesn't heat room at all and when trying to return for refund, made ridiculous claims of needing to pay return shipping and restocking fee. Total scammers. Contact your credit card company though for help. I bought with PayPal and after telling Alpha Heater I was going to let them take care of getting me my refund, I was instantly refunded without having to send piece of junk back!"

After receiving, I tried plugging one into our bedroom wall. Plug won't fully stay in outlet, so I'm afraid to use it.
Also, item isn't UL Listed. In fact, there's no printing on it at all.
I contacted the company via email to get return shipping info, and was offered 75% of my purchase price to keep.
I declined.
Then another email came offering 85% of my purchase price to keep.
I read return policy more fully, and noticed the company has the right to refuse a refund upon receiving the returned item(s) if they deem them damaged in some way.
So I'm taking the 85% REFUND OF purchase price.
