Type of scam: Dog purchase
I bought" a dog online and the company sent the Dog to the Alpha Pet Movers to fly the dog to us. We did not pick the airline or company, I had just gotten an email from them saying that they now have our dog and will be flying it to us. After speaking to someone on the phone, I was told that the travel crate that the dog was dropped off in was not allowed on the plane, that we had to rent a plane safe animal carrier for $880 and after they got the crate back we would be refunded our money. So I sent them the money and they said that the dog would be on the next flight. much later that evening the dog had still not arrived. After calling them and speaking to them the net day, they informed us that the dog could not fly because we had to purchase "pet flying insurance", which I questioned because I never heard of that before. The man told me that i would have to send another $1,420 for the insurance and every day they asking for more money , every day I have to pay something diferente and that it would also be refunded once i had the dog. after calling the airport they informed me that theres no such thing as pet flight insurance or having to rent a plane safe crate and that they have no record of our dog. After trying to call the company back to get some answers, the man Stopped answering my phone. When I tried to look up the fake tracking number on their website, all the information that was there was gone.

I was given the following information in the next email for the "rental" fee to be Zelled to the company, which stupidly I did. That went to [email protected] with the name Leslie Millen. I was contacted by email a third time stating the kitten was grounded because I didn't have pet insurance on the kitten, which needed to be paid immediately in the amount of $1480.00. I then got a phone call from them telling me to send them this insurance fee immediately or the kitten wouldn't be able to be sent. My husband got on the phone and said no to sending more money. After arguing back and forth the man hung up on my husband knowing that my husband knew it was a scam.
