They said there will be a golf tournament and they had people who would like to rent from us. We told them we
would not put any up front money. They said they would wire transfer or send a certified check for the rental after the contract was signed and sent through a title company in Colorado Springs. It sounded like something we would do. When the title company, Bergenthal Closing LLC, called a contract was emailed and they wanted $3200 that would be returned upon closing. We said there would be NO money up front and we wanted $5000 as good faith from them. They said that is not how it works. We said it was not going to happen if they wanted upfront money. I checked BBB, Chamber of Commerce. It is a shame that you cannot trust people. We were born at night, but not last night. I know that senior citizens are target, but we are not going to be taken.
