Type of a scam Rental
The subject was the rental of a studio apartment.
We communicated via E-mail, text and phone.
The terms and conditions were finalized yesterday, July 26, 2020.
The sticking point came when I requested that he send me
a copy of either his federal or state issued ID, valid with a embedded photo.
He said that he was unable to fulfil my request because of security reasons. Red Flag!
At that point, all communications between he and I ceased.
To make the matter worse, I naively supplied him a copy of my CA REAL ID
as part of the application approval process. Please contact for details of my CA REAL ID.
