The next day I received a call explaining that they needed more money to promote the website and started telling me how much money I could make if I gave them another $15,000 or so. I of course declined but then decided what the heck and took the $2500 package. I should have told the young lady where to go and hung up.
Well at the end of the first two week cycle I got a check for a little over $17. Well this made me feel better and when I got a call a few weeks later by which time I had made a purchase or two along with a couple of more purchases others had made and received another commission check. I was receptive to spending more ($1800) to improve traffic to websites.
I was able to track traffic to website using a counter on each website. The only problem was that they were diverting most of my traffic that first went thru their servers before proceeding to somewhere else. When I ask about I was given a different story every time. One time they were holding my traffic for the big upcoming sales. Second time they said that my campaign was set up by the month and I had exceeded the limit for that month. Third time it was the traffic provider holding up the traffic. Mighty funny when my traffic campaign ended I started getting a lot more traffic thru their servers and from traffic provider when before I wasn't hardly any from their servers and none from the traffic provider.
About this time the websites went offline without anyone letting me know beforehand. For almost three weeks due to them updating the website. When they finally did come back up there was only one website and the other two were redirects to the main website. Of course that knocked out all the work that I had done the past 6 months and I had to start over.
Shortly after the website was back up and working properly I got another call telling me I needed to have them do back-links or else the search engines would not be able to find my website and it would go dark. After about an hour not wanting to spend any more money I relented and agree to put in another $1500 (down from $4000) for the back links.
Well just the other day I got another call telling me I had to do advance marking for another $3500. Of course I declined again and he came down to $2000 which I still refuse. I was informed that if I didn't pay the money they would shut down the website. To which I responded if he did I would sue. They didn't get any more money and the sites went down for a couple of days but came back up. I no longer have an Amazon Associates account which means no more commissions.
The day before I had the last phone call there had been four purchases made on the website with two of them already sent and two pending. Also I had made three purchases and know of a couple of others that were made thru the website. So far no commissions and don’t expect to see any. That in itself is proof of the scam they are running and how they are able to pay 15% commissions.
I have about figure that they are running a Ponzi Scheme and not really paying a 15% commission. I know what some of the affiliates are paying and it runs from 3% to 8% which is nowhere near the 15% commissions they claim to be paying
I will be making a complaint to the ScamPulse.com and posting on other sites. Maybe I can prevent someone else from falling into the same trap.
Anyone wanting to start up a website managed by Alternative Online Design LLC, (DON’T). They are scam artists. They promise 15% commissions on sale for a low price of setting up the website ($395 in my case). After you bought into the scam they want more money $2500 to $15000 to start making money.
Don't buy into it because after the $2500 or more is invested you will get a check or two and then they are back for more money. They appear to be running a ponzi scheme where they take the commissions you earn 3% to 8% on the affiliates that I checked with so far. Then add to it to bring it up to 15%. The next problem appeared to be they don't report all the commissions (in my case) that you earn. Another thing is if your traffic is going thru their servers they can control where the traffic goes and it may not be directed at your website. And they demand more money later on. Once $1500 for back links to website to keep from going dark on Google and other search engines which I paid. About a month later they were back demanding $3500 for Advance Marketing or they would shut down your website (that you had paid for a year) and you would not be getting any more commissions. Pure extortion/blackmail which I didn't pay and will not pay! The website is still up but they closed my Amazon Associates account and I can no longer collect commissions and I know that were four sales the day before.
Be Smart and don't answer the phone and if you do don't buy into the scam that is Alternative Online Design LLC
