A local number call me and all of my family members looking for me and were told to call a company called Alters & Associates at 877-805-1582 immediately for a lawsuit for bad debt. I called the number with the file number they gave me and the woman who answered the phone said I had unpaid debt from a credit card with either wells fargo or discover card. She also said a letter was sent in the mail and I had 30 days to respond or it is going to court and will ruin my credit. She knew my social security number, my ex husbands name and my address. She said the full amount of 4900.00 and if it went to court that would double, and If I settled it was 2500.00 I had until the 29th of May to settle. I called my attorney, he said this is a scam.
