I had the same experience as above! Got a few emails but then could tell it was a scam. If it is too good to be true then don’t send money. I ended up going through the AKC website and called breeders through there. Found multiple puppies that were legit.

This website might seem very real, but it's not. Offering a 50% discount for a Dachshund puppy that should cost upwards of $3500, but selling it for $500 was a dead giveaway. Not to mention all of the typos in the email - excessive use of commas, misspelled words, excessive use of periods, etc.

This person was very convincing at first, but it was almost like magic how it unfolded. The initial email was very proper, business-like, direct and had several photos of the puppy attached. The next email was where I identified the typos (highlighted in the photo). So I decided to call the number - no answer. Then they asked for payment information, in which I asked for a video as proof that I was in fact investing in a new puppy. No answer.

Don't press the issue with these people. Just report them here so that the information can be shared with others.

I am looking to buy a puppy and found someone's website. I reached out through the website and had an email exchange about an available dog. When I asked questions they did not answer my questions and only requested that I put down a deposit. Just to be safe, I did a google search by image of the puppy in question and found an instagram account from which the photos of the puppy had been stolen. I followed up by searching by image a few of the other dogs on the site and found that they had previously been listed under different genders and names, and that other dog photos had also been stolen from social media.
