Scammer identifies themselves as an Amazon staff representative calling about an unauthorized transaction happening with my account around 11:16 AM on Sept 12, 2023. Told me there was a supposedly hacker associating my name with 5 other bank, credit card, & Amazon accounts. That there had been 2 big purchases. One $1,500 for an Apple Macbook Pro and the other was $2,000 towards a computer company called PLC. They said they had an investigation team working on solving the problem. They pressured me while I was working my job, saying if I didn't say yes or give permission, that the transaction would go through. I decided to say yes and had me confirm my only one personal Amazon account. Asked if anybody also used my account & I said no. Then he transferred me to a supposedly representative with Bank of America at their headquarters. Introducing himself as Samuel Paul, needing me to walk through their security & investigation procedure. I provided my name, Social Security number, address, pic of my ID card. They said if I wanted to help seal my accounts & cards, I needed to provide my current balance number with my credit card, draw all my cash from the ATM, store the cash on on Walmart Gift Cards because supposedly they said it had government tracked numbers, send pics of the front & back of the gift cards with the pin numbers showing with the receipt too. Had me stay on the phone for about 6 hrs, putting me on hold at certain times, gave me 2 different numbers, 1-201-477-9686 & 1-771-200-3393, to stay connected & text the pics, and finished around 5 PM. Said the investigation was still going, taking 1 or 2 more days to completely sort out & will call me again before 11 AM to continue since I also gave them my number. I blocked all their numbers. Called me 10 times the next day with 2 different numbers 1-202-753-0580 & 1-202-618-8576.
