Caller identified himself first as being with fraud department with Amazon. Then his story changed to being a fraud investigator for the Social Security Department in the State of Texas (though his phone number is a Wisconsin area code.) He said there was a rental car found in Texas with blood and cocaine in it and the car was linked to my social security number. I asked for the name of his supervisor and a phone number so I could call back and verify who he was and he got mad. He said an officer would show up at my door to arrest me for murder and drug possession. I hung up. I KNOW THIS SCAM BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER WAS SCAMMED OUT OF ALL HER GRADUATION MONEY FROM THIS EXACT SAME STORY, EXACT SAME SCAM. This person had the last for digits of my SSN, my full name and my address.
