I was offered a position via email for a remote assistant job where I would recieve packages , inspect them for all required parts and no damages and then to ship them back out. I was promised in contract which they had me sign $2000 base pay and any bonuses upon that for gas and out of pocket supplies. They initially gave me a pay date which was for 8/5/2024 to receive my check in the mail . I reached out in regards to my check coming and still haven’t heard back. These people have my social security number from having me fill out a w-2 form for taxes . I did all of that work for 30 days during a probation period for training and they did not pay me ! I just want other people out there who are urgently seeking remote jobs to be aware of this scam. As a mom of 2 it’s been hard to find a remote position just to help care for them and also so that I’m able to be with them .
