On June 25, 2021 around 3:15 PM, I answered a phone call on my cell from a number I thought looked familiar. It was from Lithia Motors I. We have purchased cars from a company with a similar name "Lithia Motors". However, I knew instantly it was a scam because of the recording. The recording said it was "Amazon confirming my purchase of a $1,000 Iphone and to hit "1" to confirm and "2" to cancel". I immediately hung up.

I looked again at the number and called it back. It was a legitimate car company in San Diego, Lithia Motors. I spoke with someone there and warned them about the scam.

I called Amazon to make sure my account wasn't hacked and warned the person that answered about the scam as well.

so far, I haven't seen any charges from this scam.
