Text saying I won a pair of Airpods from Amazon as a Prime member.

When I answer the phone, a recording comes on that states, "It's Molly with Amazon. There was a charge on your Amazon account for a charge of $725 from Dayton, Ohio. To dispute the charge press 1." I have read from others on the same scam that pressing 1 should not be done so never do it. I received 5 of these calls within 30 minutes from different numbers.

Scammer sent a text from my phone claiming I had won some prize from Amazon. I regularly get text messages from Amazon and they do not come through your typical seven-digit phone number with an area code, but this message did. I also know I have not entered any sort of raffle affiliated with Amazon. However, the scammer did use my real name, meaning they somehow have information linking my identity to my phone number.

This is a phone scam. It called a 97 year old woman saying she had purchased from Amazon. She was very confused and upset because she does not have a computer or an Amazon account. BEWARE of this type of call!

Got the number and name of the website business identified themselves as amazon.com. gave my prepaid card card number. Eventually became suspicious told them not to use the pin number but they did. I immediately chatted with Google play and Amazon. I reported this to them and also to the FTC and now to you. The amount scammed for was $100.
