My credit card got a small charge from Amazon which I didn't recognize. Immediately I got a phone call from people claiming to be Amazon Support stating that my account had been hacked and they would fix it right away by installing remote software on my machine. Believing them, I let them do it. They immediately, in front of me, they went to my Amazon account and tried to buy an Xbox gift card. They were not being too successful when I realized the scam and wrestled control of my machine from them. They were not happy but I hung up and shut down my PC. Escaped being scammed more.
