I received an auto call from Amazon alerting me of suspicious transaction with specific amounts. I spoke with 3 different people an amazon agent, an agent from my banker and lastly a police officer as they told me my identity had been stolen and someone had obtained my information and opened a credit card under my name therefore, I had to speak to this officer to give him some of my info to start an investigation. Meanwhile since that someone had obtained my info, I needed to act fast and save my money in my bank account for them not to allow them to take my money. That officer told me I was to go to my nearby store and purchase 2 gift cards with sequence "3779" and specifically an Amex Gold Plus. Then he asked for me to send him the pictures of cards, along with my ID, and the receipt. Then said they needed that info now as they would be sending another investigating officer to my home next day in the morning. He then said he would call me back in about 15-20 minutes. Once I returned home, I notice no one calling back - the Big Red Flag finally popped up and called 911 to report the incident.
