I searched on Lexington, KY craigslist and found a bobcat for sale at $3000. The listing said to text or call 859-951-6455, which I did and received a text two days later stating that the mother who was selling the bobcat would email me, if I provided my email address. I provided my email address and then received an email stating that her husband died two weeks ago of a heart attack and that was why she was selling the bobcat. She said she would have Ebay send me an invoice and I could pay $1500, receive the bobcat and release the remaining payment to her. I received an email on my yahoo account, which listed an Ebay Buyer Protection Order ID#: 14401640518 and invoicing me for $1500. It listed an Ebay Support Department number: 866-202-9400.

Well, I went online and contacted Ebay Support at their real support number and explained my fraud attempt. They had no record of the Order ID# and verified the phone number for support was bogus as well. I called the 866-202-9400 and asked some questions and they hung up on me.
