Someone contacted me about recent "ambulance services" and said he had important information to tell me and that he needed me to verify my date of birth before he told me more. He offered a name of his company when I asked but it didn't sound legitimate or like anything I have heard of. I asked him for more info and he said he needed my date of birth before he could give me more info. I said I wouldn't give him any info until he told me more about the organization he was calling from. He said he would call back. I told him not to because it was obviously a scam and he said "If it was a scam, would I offer to call back?" and I said "Yes, you recognize that I'm onto you." I told him not to call back and he said he would not. This was an especially insidious scam because I did use ambulance services recently. I worry they are targeting people who have recently been in the hospital.
