Type of a scam Employment
"Mrs. Melia Tony" at the [email protected]. After emailing her I was told that i needed to download the App. Spike for the interview. I downloaded spike and she continued to tell me the job responsibilities and qualifications. She told me that i would recieve a new apple laptop, W4, handbook and a check that I would have to deposit into my checking account. When i told her that i had chime she stated that I had to have an actual bank and checking account to proceed. I went up this morning and opened a checking, while speaking to them about this job they informed me that there was alot of red flags. I ended up leaving and another banker called me to talk about the situation and stated she saw it on the news this morning, about scams. She actually had already looked up on the ScamPulse.com site for a number for me to call, she suggested i called the company and talk to someone. I did call and they stated that unfortunately i was not hired and they wont use an email address to contact for employment. That is when i decided i needed to report this. It was very unfair and emotionally discouraging. I do not want anyone else to fall for this, i am definitely going to take a second look next time. For the company its not fair for them to ruin their ratings due to someone else. I did send a picture of my license when i signed the offer letter. Once i told her i had opened the account and i told her the bank, she stopped talking but shows that she is on and last time she was on.
