I was first contacted by a friend on Instagram in regards to grants to assist people during the pandemic and provided a number to apply for the program. They requested $50 verification fee and then they want money as a fee for a grant. A red flag went up then. I realized that it was not my friend on Instagram but it was an account created to look like him. I requested a refund and they did not provide it to me. These people are scammers.
