Got a call from a man named 'John' I believe saying he was working for the American Police Officer's Alliance and they were taking pledges for a fundraiser. He said they would send me information and I could return my pledge in the mail. I (like a naive [censored]) said yes and then he connected me with a woman from the mailroom you re-confirmed that I was comfortable pledging that amount ($**) and that amount was comfortable. They asked this several times over the course of the conversation. Sadly I said yes and provided them with my name and mailing address, but no money.

I am now scared of what my naive kindness has gotten me into, as I read on the internet that this is a scam and that they will do something with my recorded voice saying 'yes'. It was very official sounding and I and so upset that I just got scammed.
