I am being harassed by this fake charity as well. This is a PAC, not a charity. It's a loophole where they register as a political action committee and this same group makes robocalls claiming to be representing handicapped children, breast cancer, disabled vets, fallen police and injured firefighters, etc. Calling the number back always plays the exact same recording. Any money they use goes into their pockets or for political donations. They also use the money for lobbyists who fight for things like allowing telemarketers to continue to harass us.
This call came from 7194456400 but they also used 5023175254, 8623590153, 5752058222, 701805935, 4014257668, 8665701616, 7702846808, and others.

The only way to stop this [censored] is to file a complaint on fec.gov.

Calls me nonstop, at least 20 calls a day, all from different numbers. I can't block them all there are so many. They are all bot calls, no live person. I told them I would not be giving a donation and then they called again ten minutes later from a different number. This time I picked up and said "remove me from your list" and the bot said "I'm sorry. Thank you. Good bye." I'm hoping that will be the end.

This is an automated request for a donation of $35 or $50. The payment is requested to be made by credit card. This entity calls me EVERYDAY with the exception of Sunday. As of today, l have charted a total of 36 additional numbers they use as well as the one l listed.

I continually get get calls from this so called organization for a contribution that I supposedly gave them months ago. These calls come in on my land line from different numbers that I "block". However they are insidious about calling. The recorded voice says she is "Mary". How do we get this so called organization from calling?

I recently got a call (3/8/21) from the American Coalition for Autistic Children PAC asking for a contribution. My standard response to all requests is that I do not give my credit card over the phone for any solicitation. (Often, they try to convince you to do so by telling you if you give right now, over the phone, your donation will be doubled or even quadrupled.) I stand fast, refuse and tell them to send the information in the mail. I will often pledge a certain amount in order to get them to agree to send the information. I got the mailing. This may not be what they used to do but they explicitly state that they are “a nonpartisan independent expenditure-only group (not a charity). . .” Then you can read a list of important political issues that are important to the cause. Then in large bold print is:
“These are just a few of the many programs that we believe our elected officials should support. With your continued help, we can help elect leaders who will see that no child with a disability is ever treated unfairly.”
The next paragraph says: “Thank you for your support. A large portion of the proceeds for this campaign are used to defray the costs of fundraising.”
So they even tell you that your donation will hardly do anything of what they are touting. Amazing. Now, I am not sure if everyone gets the same letter. Maybe they have different rules for different states. I live in Maine. They do list their website in the letter.

Due to my recent phone solicitations I have now added “I do not support any PACs” to my “I do not donate over the phone”.
I noticed that many of the comments were made by people who are personally affected by autism. I am not. I think it especially despicable that they end up preying on vulnerable people.
I also blocked the number from being able to get through again. I can only block 30 numbers, so if you have that option, put it to good use.
