Our company is being impersonated in a jobs scam. The scamming operation is representing themselves as David Mills, claiming to be a recruiter for American Crystal Sugar Company. They are offering remote positions (video editor, software engineer, etc.) and hiring on-the-spot via chat interviews. The scam victims provide their personal identity/data to complete their new hire paperwork. The scammers send a $7500 check which new hires are told to cash or deposit and then buy the computers, furniture, etc. they need to set up their home office. When the new hires attempt to cash or deposit the check, they find out it is fraudulent and making attempts to contact David Mills fail. The American Crystal corporate office has been receiving calls, voicemails, emails, and even copies of the paperwork from the victims. We have to tell them they were scammed and they can contact local authorities but we can't help them. Victims are from all across the United States.
