A Facebook post was made by one individual advertising a new company needing jobs for duct cleaning. Being in the market for this, I messaged and inquired about the service. This person claimed their manager would reach out to me, in which I got a text from a random number to set up the appointment. After setting up the appointment, I received a call from another number claiming to be the manager of the company and confirmed the appointment. Two individuals showed up in a beaten down, unmarked truck. They brought in a large machine that they only hooked up to one vent, and went around the house spraying compressed air into the other ducts claiming this would push all of the debris into the machine. Only one person did the work while the other wandered around my home and asked me strange questions, such as if my husband was always home or if he was just a friend or roommate. After they took their payment and left, the next day our brand new AC unit began making a loud noise. For two weeks I called demanding either a refund or someone to come investigate the damage they caused. They either ignored my texts and calls, or brushed me off saying they didn't know their schedule...for several weeks. My husband then came across a FB post of someone else who was scammed, but they were overcharged and their ducts were not actually clean and we're having the same contact issue. We investigated our ducts and to no surprise, they are not clean. Again we attempted to contact with no assistance whatsoever, and then contacted the police after as well as our bank as they are clearly charging people for a service they do not provide or intend to provide while being very suspicious.
