My colleague in our US office forwarded me an email from the American Economic Institute that stated we had be selected for an award. The appeared suspect, so I was reluctant to click on any of the links. It's clear after a brief internet search that this may be a scam. However, when I went on your website their name did not immediately come up even though others mentioned that this company has a track record of scams where they target small businesses to pay for a fake award. Please investigate this and ensure they are clearly blacklisted so that you can save companies with few resources the pain of figuring all of this out. Thank you.

I work for a regional CPA firm. My partner forwarded an email to me from an organization called the, "American Economic Institute," which explained (with many typos) that our business has been awarded the, "2015 American Leadership Award." After you follow the link through the email, you are taken to a page with an image of a crystal statue displaying our company name (it was actually incorrect), with, "Business Governance" underneath...not sure what that even means. After viewing the press release, which stipulates, "Please note that is a draft set-up for mutual review and company details can be incorporated by sending such information to [email protected]. Additionally edits to the business name and/or industry specification can also be requested," I was directed to the order page. For a minimum of $147.00 + s/p and a maximum of $588.00 + s/h we could receive our award. In addition, we could have any name ingraved on our crystal and we could designate our own award category... As if that were not enough, there is virtually no information on the "American Economic Institute" at all.
