My daughter got a call from someone named Jason Dickerson who said he was with American Family Sweepstakes. He said that she won $1.5 million and they've been holding it for 2 months. Gave confirmation # 612631US.   He said she would just have to send $600 tonight and $600 tomorrow in order to secure the winnings. That's when I got on the line with my daughter and told him you never have to pay money to get money. He disagreed with me and told me that's just how their process works. I knew it was a scam and reported it to BBB.

I received a phone call a couple of weeks ago from *** *** ***. They called again yesterday but I did not respond. Caller stated I won second place prize of $785,000. I picked up the company paper work up at *** in Ashland OH. They requested no money or personal information. No check enclosed. Agent Paul Moore with Financial Crime Enforcement Department. Treasury Department. Advised me not to contact anyone.

I have received several letters from American Family Sweepstakes, 1324 Reed Dare St., Georgetown AR 72143. Phone 479-202-6212, email [email protected] and website www.americanfamilypublishers.org.

They are claiming I have won $5,500,000 million with file #3164. The letter states this my sole and final notice that identifies my prize. It also states there is an activation fee of $1450. which is refundable 15 minutes after delivery. They will take out taxes and I should contact Auditing Dept at 479-202-6212 and ask for agent James Carter. The $1450 must be received by deposit and the prize money would be delivered by Certified Cashier's Check made payable to myself. The check will be locked in a combination locked briefcase and a six digit code combination will be given to me.
