Polaris Ranger fraud
Lady posed as a recently divorced Air Force Sgt who is selling her Polaris at a reduced price because she’ll be deployed soon. Same scenario as 397850, Marketplace lead to an email with convincing photos and semi-convincing emails. I’m in MN. I reported it to FB Marketplace but the catch is that it’s sole via LowCountry Real Estate, a link will be in the listing, and it’s the same red Polaris listed in at least twenty major US cities. Their page looks legitimate otherwise, so that part is also convincing. This scam is nationwide. Lady posed as a Sarah Benson.

Same scenario as Reporter397850. Lady pretended to be a newly divorced Air Force Sgt, selling a Polaris at highly reduced price. Indeed, very sophisticated and convincing. Did not follow through, did due diligence on the internet. Also reported to Facebook.

Same as reporter 397850 except it was an rv. Thankfully they posted as it was the same scenario. I also called a business listed at that address who confirmed the scam. They are very believeable, but I did find spelling errors on their webpage. This needs to be destroyed before anyone else loses money. I did not wire anything but possibly gave too much info.

It's all start from Facebook marketplace. Fraudulent seller under various names (Nicole Larson, Joseph, Rigo Pulido, etc.) post a boat or merchandise for sale at great price (i.e. 2016 Crest 230 SLC Pontoon for sale at $20,000). The Seller turns off the messaging through Facebook messenger but in the body of the post they ask potential buyers to email the seller directly (i.e. [email protected]). Once you email the seller, they email back with a story that the husband died and she must sell the boat because it brings bad memories. Then she said the boat is at the shipping company and it's ready to be shipped out. She also says she is out of town at her sister because she's going through a hard time after her husband passed away. She then direct the buyers to American Shippers Inc (https://americanshippersinc.com/). When you go the site it looks real but it's all a bug fraud. They tell you that the company is a shipping and brokerage company and your money is safe with their escrow service. They make it really real. They send you emails and even talk with you on the phone. They also ask the buyers to identify themselves before the merchandise can be shipped. But in reality they are stealing the buyer's identity and opening a Crypto account with Kraken. After few days they sand you an email with the wiring details. If you look carefully (I did not) the wire goes to one the Kraken account with a key that is tied to the false account they opened using your name. Once the wire hits the other side (Signature Bank), it's being distributed by Kraken to the fraudulent account. At this point your money is lost and can not be traced. The fraudulent seller immediately buys a crypto currency. If you search the web you'll find the real for sale ad with all the photos the fraudulent seller used on the email he/she sent out. i.e. https://boats-from-usa.com/crest/crest-230-slc-255906. In summary, American Shippers Inc (americanshippersinc.com) is committed fraud on the public. I believe it's a fraud ring with multiple people involved.

p.s. They post the same ad on multiple locations across all the Facebook marketplace. They figured that Facebook is limiting thier search to 100 mile radius.

Please be aware of this company!!! They are very sophisticated ring fraud. I'm sure I'm not the first victim or the last. But if you read this post, it will save you 20 grand and lots of headaches.
