Call from "Americans for Police and Trooper Safety" asked for donation. I considered because they had my cell phone # and they knew my name. Original man transferred me to a gal to take my info. She asked where I work, and I replied "the Better Business Bureau"; asked for credit card information... I refused because I couldn't verify who it was going to and asked them to send me info in the mail. They sent this letter ( attached). I researched "Americans for Police and Trooper Safety" on Google and found several sites (could not attach 2nd) that say this is a scam.

Well they called me on the phone initially. And send me an invoice and then another invoice. Then they called me on the phone and I gave them a payment over the phone with my credit card. Then I did a little more research and I’m finding out that the money isn’t being used for what it’s supposed to be used for. If it’s just going into somebody else’s pocket from my pocket I would like to put it back into my pocket!!!!
