Years back (like 20 years ago) I sponsored a police fundraising group. So just over 2 years ago the "Americans for Police and Trooper safety" contacted me by phone asking for a donation. They also sent me a letter a few days later with an account number on it to send my check. And I thought since I have several family members that are law enforcement officers or that work directly for the police department, this would be a good cause? wrong! so I sent them a $25.00 check and the phone calls have come in weekly since! sometimes several times a week! I have asked them numerous times to please take me off their list and they continue to call me. it is the same 3 - 5 people. I have blocked number after number and they call me from a different number (same people) it is always a live person. then they changed the area code to match my area code? REALLY? I tried calling back some of these numbers and they are no longer in service? I have also received letters from them through the mail. so I called the customer service number 1833-424-8878 the operator gave me this number 1-800-247-4872 and I tried it, you can only leave a voice message if you know someone by name there? then I tried 1833-424-8878 again and it hangs up just as soon as you dial it? this is harassment! I want them to stop calling me!!!!! I tried to report this to the no call registry and they say if it is not a recording or from the same number, there is nothing they can do? it's not. it is always a live person and from several different numbers although they have used the same number also ugh! I am at a loss as to what to do?
