i was applying for jobs on indeed and got an email to set up a google hangouts for an interview. this appeared normal due to covid, everything is online. i was beginning to get suspicious by the instant messaging and lack of information on this company. There were no google or facebook results and their website only works when typed in full. the messages i received were strange and concerning. they asked me what bank i was using to see if they were compatible. they told me that i needed to buy the equipment from a company they were affiliated with and that they would send me a check to pay for it. once i asked about if they had any other social media accounts since i couldn't find them anywhere besides their website, they stopped responding to me.
