I received a text message asking if I was “my name”. I said yes. They said they were impressed by my resume, which was posted to Career Builder 9 years ago. They said they had a job offer for me. I have not applied for any jobs in years, however I have been looking for my daughter. They wanted to interview me via zoom immediately. I told them I couldn’t. Then they said to download Telegram app and his assistant would interview me. I did and answered 15 questions, being sure not to put any personal information. When finished, I was offered a remote job making $45 an hour. Sounded too good to be true. I asked if it was a scam. I asked for assistance name and email. I already have a phone number for her and her supposed supervisor. The funny thing is that I researched Amgen and her name was very close, but not exactly, to the HR manager of Amgen. I questioned that as well. They emailed me an offer letter that will not open and are asking for an alternate email, which is probably to bypass my security. I feel very strongly that this is a scam.
