I attempted to purchase gun powder online from Midwest Powders. They were one of the only sites that had the powder I was looking for in stock. They made me purchase $200 or more because of shipping, which is free. I had to purchase 6 pounds of powder at a cost 0f $235.98. There site looks very legitimate and they even have an instant chat feature that they respond to immediately. The only issue is that they do not take credit cards and you must pay with Zelle, Venmo or Paypal Friends and Family. All three of these methods are direct fund transfer with no way of getting your money back. I should have known immediately that it was a fradulant company. I utilized Zelle and tranfered the money. The next day they texted me to ask for payment. I had to share a screen shot with proof of transfer. I am sure they were trying to get me to pay again. Ten days later, no word from them that the powder was shipped so I texted them to find out the status. I almost immediately got a text from a shipping logistics company (Trust Cargo Logistics) requesting a Zelle payment of $151.00 for a $25 hazmat fee and $126 refunadable package insurance. They said the package was in my town awaiting payment of the fee. They said the delivery person would pay me the $126 insurance refund in cash when they deliver the package. This is when I figured I was scamed. I requested proof that the package existed and/or location of the package in my town. Note, my town does not have a shipping company or even a post office. I also asked Midwest Powders for a copy of the shipping receipt. As expected, both companies went silent and have not addressed any of my requests.

Do not do business with Midwest Powders.com or Trust Cargo Logistics. They are working together to scam hard working Americans! Also, never use Zelle or Venmo or any fund transfer unless you know the person you are transferring the money to! Expensive lesson learned! I wrote the company an email sharing my feeling about how I felt about them stealing from people and letting them know that I am reporting them to the ScamPulse.com and they responded "that is not going to help you".
