As far as I know, thats not a thing. So scam confirmed. Told him I deposited it (i didnt) and he immediately wanted proof of a transfer to the installer. Then I started asking questions about the size, why it was supposed to be $4,100 to put on a decal, etc. my dad used to work in automotive and did tint jobs for a while, so I know the mechanics if how a decal goes on. And what he was telling me was throwing all kinds of red flags. “ Their $4,100 payment covers for documentations, purchase of materials needed for the decal, transportation down to your house and installation payment and also maintenance all through the months of the offer” a decal if placed correctly doesn’t need maintaining. And for the size it was supposed to be, I could have bought a circut and done it myself for no more than $300. The checked looked real, had water marks and a security sensor, but sure enough about a week after I deposited it the bank called saying it was fake. I did spend the entire week receiving multiple messages a day asking for proof of transfer to the installer and the longer I waited the more frantic the texts seemed. I marked this as a loss so others are aware of what they could lose.
