I got a message from a “Recruiter” and they gave me info about a job and if I was interested to click the Teams link and message there Hiring manager. After I got connected to the manager it seemed legitimate they had me answer questions I would normally get in an interview and then I just got the job it was a little to quick for me and that’s when I started getting suspicious and that was yesterday and today they sent over an “ offer letter” via email and it didn’t look very legit either and then said that since it’s a work from home job that I would need equipment but they would pay for it and they’d email a check and then I’d need to mobile deposit it using my banking app and after I stopped responding they called me on teams and was like “hello???” And the check was for way more than what they said I would need. But yeah it seemed real because it’s a real company but it’s just fishy since I didn’t even apply.
