Duration : Full-Time (Permanent)

Location : Remote (Work From Home)

Overview of the duties:

•Provide technical support for countywide personal computers, laptops, tablets, cell phones and printers

•Provide technical support for data and voice networks

•Provide software support for industry standard applications, operating systems, end-user databases, and utilities

•Participate in and coordinate the development of the department's personal computer support initiatives and strategies

•Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the department

•Review and evaluate our personal computer software and hardware making recommendations, as appropriate

•Provide advice and assistance to the department in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modifications to existing policies, standards, and procedures

•Build new computer images and participate in the yearly replacement of various departments' computers

•Accurately testing, identifying, repairing, resolving, and documenting end user technical issues regarding basic network/desktop support, printers, PDAs, BlackBerrys, and LAN cable drops

•Backing up and restoring settings and associated systems administration activities

•Taking ownership of issues through to resolution on all appropriate requests.

•Categorize and prioritize end-user support requests and service requests by utilizing a Remedy ticketing system to track tickets and provide up-to-date status and information.

•This position requires the ability to work in a project-based environment requiring flexibility and teamwork. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

•Good Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

•Thorough understanding of Outlook's calendaring tool

•Understanding of Exchange functional accounts and how they are used within Microsoft technologies

•Strong customer service skills

•Ability to provide consistent, excellent customer support to entire staff, representing a variety of personalities and management levels

•Must be detail oriented and self-motivating
