The scammer had me go through an email-based job hiring process for a remote administrative assistant position. This process included an email interview. They then offered me the job and asked for social security, my driver's license number, for a "background check". After that, they asked for pictures of my license, front and back and mail to confirm my place of residence. To start my training process they asked for my bank and routing number stating it was for direct deposit. At this point, things were already feeling off and I began to look more into it. I then found the actual company's website and called the number list that was connected to the real person the scammer had been posing as and she confirmed the company had been closed for a year and that the ad was a scam.
