[email protected] Reports & Reviews (1)

• Jul 11, 2024

Im actively looking for a job and have my profile on LinkedIn and Indeed. I got an email from Ana Carolina ([email protected]) and was referred to Jacob Williams, the hiring manager [email protected]. He introduced the company, did a interview via questionnaire on chat and was advised that I passed. He said I needed to purchase equipment for the job. A pdf copy of a cheque was sent to my email and they instructed me to print the copy of the cheque and do a deposit on my bank app. Fortunately i do not have a printer at home and since I had my device settings still in another country for my app store, I couldnt download my bank mobile app. I felt there was something wrong the way he was rushing me to have the cheque deposited right away. I told him I couldnt with the way the country change on the settings was still on hold. Told him it might take 2 weeks or more for the settings change to take effect and I may not be able to continue anymore given the situation. He also asked me to purchase $100 worth of itunes card since he said the laptop will be sent and he said he will reimburse me once the cheque is encashed. He didnt ask for my bank details but the phone number and address was provided. I took a screenshot of the emails and the conversation.
