Anaya Grupo- Sulick France and Sophia Loh Reports & Reviews (7)

I was contacted by a Lady named Kimberly Sclafani. She says she was a temporary recruiter at Anaya Group Publishing Company. Yes the company is legit. However she is not. She some how knew my name and knew I used Indeed. When I later looked up the company I could not find any job details or employers. I foolishly falled for her scam and told her my interview hours and she told me to install an app called Telegram. The app Telegram is legit, i've texted friends before on there. She told me to add a person name Sam Perez. Me and sam talked for two days, I exchanged info and I also gave him my bank info and my social security number. The part that I ignored that was an obvious scam that the company was going to give me a mac book pro with an i7 processor. Which is very expensive. He sent me a check via email that contained a PDF of a check worth $2,450. This set off multiple red flags, one its a PDF. Two $2,450 to me for a laptop that I don't need especially a mac book pro. He wanted me to use that money for the applications I would later use. The whole thing is a scam. I am no trying to freeze my account and trying to lock it up and start a new one. If you ever see a person named Kimberly Sclafani with the phone number 517-579-7360. Do not reply to them. Or give them any info. It's a scam.

I had pretty much the exact same experience. I received a text from the phone number (616) 541-9824 from Kimberly Sclafani, a temporary recruiter at Anaya Group Publishing Company. She said she found my resume through Indeed. As the person above me said, it seemed legit. They used a real company located in Madrid, Spain. And since I've worked for companies with foreign-based headquarters before, I didn't think too much of it. They asked me to download Telegram, which I thought might have been a European equivalent to Zoom. It struck me as odd that the interview was conducted through text, but I thought maybe it had to do with a potential language barrier. So I interviewed with Albert Edward, the Director of HR at Grupo Anaya. After a lengthy interview where I was asked questions you would generally ask in an interview, I was hired the next morning. They sent over paperwork that included a W-4, emergency contacts, an employee contract, and direct deposit forms. These are all typical forms upon hire, forms I've had to sign working for other companies, so it seemed very legit. After I sent the signed paperwork, I, too, was told they were sending money to purchase programs for a work computer they were going to send me (a Macbook Pro). When I've asked him about when the laptop was coming or if there was a tracking number, I never received straightforward answers. He would keep telling me to be on standby for my check. At that point, I grew suspicious, so I took screenshots of all of our conversations, saved the texts from Kimberly, and saved the emails from Grupo Anaya. I gave my bank a heads-up on the situation, froze my accounts, and am in the process of starting everything over. Again, their names are Kimberly Scalani and Albert Edward. Her phone number is (616) 541-9824 and his Telegraph handle is @Hr_Albert. Be careful! I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what I've been through with these scammers.

Sent out a ton of resumes so when I received a text from a recruiter asking for an interview from Kimberly Sclafani a temporary recruiter at Anaya Group Publishing Company I thought it was legit. They then asked for me to download an app commonly used in Spain (the location of the company HQ) to reach out to an interviewer Albert Edward to interview. I answered questions on this app because they asked if I was fluent in Spanish and I was not. They said I was a good fit but they needed to have someone else approve everything as it was apparent the person was not fluent in English. Paperwork and w-4, emergency contacts, working contract, and direct deposit forms, all looked legit. They said they would send me a MacBook Pro to work from. After I sent the paperwork back they stated they would be sending me money and I had to send a screenshot when I got it and they would tell me what to do with it. If I needed supplies I was to buy from the company they told me to. The other guys name I worked with was Albert Edward and his handle on Telegram was @HR_McLean02. They even had emails come to my email that all looked legit.

I got a text from Kimberly Sclafani saying she's a temporary recruiter at Anaya Group Publishing Company. She said "I am reaching out to you in regards your resume posted through indeed for a DATA ENTRY $20.00/Hr. We believe you meet the desired criteria so reply as soon as possible to schedule an interview. Thank you!"
With the typos and the fact that it was a text I thought I'd look it up. Luckily I found someone else was contacted by the same person. Definitely sketchy, glad I didn't reply.

I was contacted by someone named Kimberly Sclafani who claimed to be a Temporary Recruiter at Anaya Group Publishing Company. She said she found my resume on indeed and that she thought I met the qualifications for the Proofreading/Editing/writing position for $35/hr. She asked if I could tell her when I would be available for an interview. I told her I was free the next day and that was when she told me that the interview would be through a messenger app called Telegram. That was when I started to feel uncomfortable. I googled the company name and could only find Anaya Grupo. I googled the phone number and found two people sharing the same experience with this company and how it was sketchy to them. I confronted her about it and never got a reply.

I had this same experience from "Grupo Anaya", including the initial contact phone number, they just used different names. They went so far as to send me an employment letter, direct deposit form, W4, etc. Initial text contact was on 4/28/21 from "Kimberly Sclafani" who told me to contact "Mr. Albert Edward" on Telegram. The only difference other than names is their insistence that they would be sending me a new MacBook Pro, HP color printer, etc. When I explained that I already had that equipment, I was told that I had to use theirs.

First, I was contacted by Sophia Loh via text message, where she introduced herself as a temporary recruiter at Anaya Publishing Group. She stated that she found my resume on Indeed, and that my education and qualifications match the proofreading/editing position they are currently offering. She prompted me to contact Mr. Sulick France (the HR hiring manager according to her) via Telegram for more details. It seemed strange to me that they would want to conduct a job interview through a messenger, but I figured they are just adhering to a no-physical contact way of interviewing candidates.

I contacted Mr. France and he sent me two sets of interview questions. The second set of questions was a general one about my personal job expectations for the position I am offered. He then asked me to provide my full name, state, address and an email address, so they can put it in their system. It didn't really alarm me because these are standard questions employers usually ask.

After I was done with both sections, he said that he would forward all my info to his supervisor for review and he'll get back to me the next day in regards to whether I was hired or not. When I logged into Telegram the following day, I inquired about my application status and he said that I was hired. That also didn't really alarm me as he said that they were hiring immediately and I had experience in the past when I was hired either on the spot or the next day. As far as working hours, he said that they are flexible, but I need to report to him every morning at 8 am. I started feeling weird about this whole employment process and my suspicions started growing, so I decided to contact the company directly on their website by filling out the online form. I haven't heard back from Anaya Group yet, but for the Knorex scam on this site with the names France Sulick and Jennifer Loh and thought it couldn't possibly be a coincidence. When I confronted the "HR director" with the information, his profile was promptly deleted from Telegram-- All the confirmation I need.
