I applied for a call center position through Ziprecruiter and was contacted by Anchor staffing and recruitment. They told me I had the position and to go to a link to finish the process. Being a person that had worked many years, I have never encountered a hiring process like this and it made me suspicious. I looked for a number; could not find one. I looked up the company on a new browser and a legit looking company pulled up but Anchor Staffing pulled up first which is a legitimate company. Which led me to keep searching for the company and once searching on Georgia Secretary of State website; I found out the company had just been established August 2023 with one person listed over the company. I did not click on the link because I was unsure if it would create a virus on my computer. There was the potential to have my name with social security number, birth date and banking account information given to these scammers if I would have filled out the so called new hire information if I was not suspicious. This could be the start of a legitimate business but if so she needs to change her way of going about conducting the hiring process because this looks fraudulent.
