I needed someone to finish the walls in my garage. I contacted a few people for the Handyman services on Craigslist but decided to go with Andrew Leonard Caruthers. We agreed on a prices of $1700 after he had me send him photos of my garage. He asked me for 50% upfront for materials and labor which on the day of our first meeting (4/27/22) I wrote him a check of $850. He started working on sanding the wall for about 2 hours and said he would return on Friday (4/29/22) at 10AM. He didn't show up until 10:30AM. They worked until 4PM and left in a hurry without telling me. When I went in to the garage to check up on them, they've took everything and left quietly.
I called him to see what was going on... and he said that they would be back tomorrow, Saturday in 11AM. He never showed up. I have not been able to reach him through multiple phone calls and text messages. I tried calling him today at 3PM and he picked up but the moment he knew who I was, he hung up right away and have not been able yo reach him.
