Met someone on Facebook dating app. Started sharing information and eventually photos. Figured out too late it was a scammer. Started asking me for money and I had blocked him. Then someone else contacted me with threats to release to social media and my friends if I didn’t pay. They have my phone number and email. They are not on my friends list but I don’t know if they took screenshots of my friends list. They wanted money or they would release the photos with all my information. I ended up paying because I was scared. I used paypal to send the funds. I found out too late, the person I thought I was talking to may not be. I discovered 4 different facebook profiles with this guy’s name, I’m sure the scammer stole his identity. I can’t make him stop contacting me now or the other person he now has contacting me. And since they have my phone number and email I don’t know what to do. I just want it to stop and not have my reputation ruined. Now they want to send me a cashier’s check to deposit and then send a lot of the money somewhere else.
