On Feb. 22, 2017 after my insurance company (Regence/Blue Cross) denied my prescription for Androgel 1.62% I began looking online for another source outside the U.S. where I could get it cheaper. I found a site (androgelshop.com) that said they would sell it for $149.00 (USD). They were even having a 2 for 1 sale. It sounded too good to be true but I couldn’t pass up the deal. When I placed my order the web site stated they accepted Paypal and major credit cards. They even had the card logos on the site. After I placed the order it said the only available option for payment was bitcoin. Not having a bitcoin account I emailed them asking why I could not pay with Paypal or a credit card. Within 2 hours I had a response from [email protected] that bitcoin was currently the only way to pay as they were having an issue with Paypal. OK. It took 5 days of research and deciding but I set up a bitcoin account. After I had placed the order I was emailed a bitcoin address to send the payment to. The email said after confirmation of payment my order would ship from a distributor within the U.S. within 24 hours. I made the payment on Feb. 27, 2017. Starting on March 1, 2017 I have sent an email to androgelshop.com every day asking for order status with no response. Yesterday (March 8, 217) I sent a request for refund and of course no response. Listed below are the results from Who Is. They are using whoisproxy so I can’t see who the site owner is. If this is not misuse or illegal I don’t know what is.
