**I CONTACTED SKIN DEEP MEDICAL CARE DIRECTLY AND THEY ADVISED THIS WAS A SCAM* I received a text from Gary Karcher saying that they received my application from Ziprecruiter and to message [email protected] on Microsoft Teams to start an interview. The interview was all through texts and I had to reply 'DONE' after answering each question. They provided a link to the website which was a legit link to the real companies general website. They said to wait about an hour to hear back about the job and I was informed that I got the job working from home making $25.95 an hour 4 days a week. They advised that I would be provided with a Mac Book, desk and chair and they would send a check to purchase the items from a trusted vendor they use. They said this check would be coming from one of their clients. When we received the check it was from Plumas Bank written from Lassen Indian Health Center. The routing number on the check was correct based off google; however, I could not confirm the account number. They sent the check before the offset letter and advised us to go about a mobile deposit it, at that point it all the things were becoming more suspicious. I contacted the actual business with their number listed on google and the woman I spoke with immediately knew what I was talking about as soon as I said the woman's name. She advised this same person has been using their company to scam people for jobs for months and they have tried to contact Indeed and Zipcruiter but they say they cannot help.
