Type of a scam Tax Collection
Initial means of contact Internet messaging (e.g., WhatsApp)
The next day, someone called me from Mactan Cebu International Airport Customs saying that they got a hold of my package and will only send it to me once I send them PHP 50,000 for the tax.
I did not ask anyone to send me a phone, money or shoes. Too good to be true to receive something like this. I knew this is a scam so I also did a research. I found on Facebook a post about "Angel Santos" and that she is a scammer. I messaged those that commented on the post because according to them, they were also scammed. I private messaged them and they told me that they were also asked to send PHP 50,000. Once transaction is done, they were blocked.
From the start , I knew something's wrong so I sent a fake address. I did not send anything back because I am sensing already that this is all fake. I am reporting this to make everyone aware and alert.
