I signed up to contract doors and windows for angi leads 3 weeks ago.

I was charged $280 dollars for a year subscription. Wasn’t told I can’t refund it.

Tried to get my money back or most of it since I only contracted with them for 3 weeks and was told I can’t because you can only cancel after 3 days of initial start up.

Was told I was going to be charged anywhere from $11-$45 per lead sent to me.

They charge alot more than that.

If not hundreds..

Was not told that leads that are supposed to be sent to me per my services are also sent to alot of other contractors.

So basically you have a bidding war.

They give you phone numbers are not connected to the customer or you can not get ahold of the customer after many calls and e-mails.

Still get charged wether you get the job or not.

Was not told that by anyone.

Basically a complete scam.

Won’t refund anything either.

was told i would receive leads for a cleaning company i have. every single one of the leads were leading to voicemails for three months. MULTIPLE people that did respond with a shady email turned out to be scammers. Some of the scammers would ask for my physical address and information so they could "mail" me the payment for the services.

i mind you this is not 1 or two people there were multiple people who would do something very similar. i have emails and text that show.

the money taken out of the account was automatic.

This woman called me up out of the blue and tricked me into signing up for a lead generation website. Being desperate for extra business for my side business, I foolishly gave her my debit card number. The woman never mentioned an $80 membership fee. Hopefully I was able to catch it in time and get a refund for my membership fee like they promised. They state on their website that if you cancel within 72 hours you'll be fully refunded. If I don't get refunded I will dispute it with my bank. If you're first starting out in business you're better off generating leads by door hangers, T shirts, business cards or signs on your vehicles.
