My dog has been missing for a month, I posted online about her to try to find her. A man called me from a private number to begin with, claiming to be with Hoover animal control, stating my dog has been found and hit by a car, if she would ever walk again she would need surgery immediately and I had to pay for it up front or a down payment. He later gave me a number to call back for payment information. When I called the animal control the next morning they told me they did not and never did have my dog and whoever that was, didn't work for them.
