I was having a puppy sent to me through a seller on craigslist, they kept in contact with me through text and updated me when, supposedly, the puppy was sent. The seller did not want any money (just to make sure it was going to a good home), just that I pay for shipping. Everything else was taken care of through the bogus business. The business kept in contact through email and the "owner" of the dog through text messaging. I paid through money gram $250 for shipment fees and later $740 for travel insurance for the dog. They requested more money for vaccinations based on a law that did not exist and at that point realized that it was a scam. I have reported it to my local police already.
